Mushroom Fields

We cleared some invasive plants along a moist river area, disinfected the soil with ash and layered straw, mulch and compost and oyster mushroom mycelia.

We watered the pile with highly oxygenated vortex water and let it stand. After 2 weeks the first little mushrooms were visible and 3 days later we had enough for a side dish. Every few days new mushrooms were coming out in different areas.

We intend to extend our beds and try different varieties.
